District
Municipal Corporation, Karachi West , is
geographically the largest municipal corporation
of Karachi. Spread over an area of about 81
square kilometers, and having a population of
about 2.5 million. The population of District
West mostly comprises of the working class
people, living in unregularized colonies with
hardly any amenities. In these condition the
D.M.C. (West) strives hard, with the meager
resources at its disposal, to come up to the
expectations of the people living in its
jurisdiction. Orangi Town, the largest Katchi
Abadi of Asia is located within the bouds of the
District West. The D.M.C. (West) is divided into
three administrative divisions, namely:
